The iEL series features a non-contact ID key known as a FeliCa card that you merely pass over the reader to unlock the door, and if you are using the Osaifu-Keitai service, you can also download the key ID to your cell phone and use your cell phone as your key. The iEL is equipped with a control component built into the electronic key and features compact components and a streamlined system to cut device and construction costs. The iEL is also equipped with an interface that enables flexible connections to interphones, home servers, and security equipment and is compatible with upcoming new services. The security features of the iEL are impeccable and include sophisticated crime deterrent features such as thumb turns and deadbolts with a blade locking system that can withstand brute force attacks. Since its release a year ago, the iEL is now used in 10000 apartments in Japan.
