FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS www.alliedfireandsecurity.com Fire alarm systems vary depending on if the alarm is for a residential or commercial application. The first type of system is for residential applications where there are two main types of fire detection equipment: smoke detectors and heat detectors. Smoke detectors are more widely used and heat detectors are usually not used in certain environments, such as garages, due to their sensitivity to changes in temperature. The two types of smoke detectors that Allied Fire & Security uses are photoelectric and ionization. Photoelectric devices detect smoke particles in the air by bouncing light off of the particles, and ionic devices detect radiation emitted from smoke. Typically photoelectric detectors are more responsive to the type of smoke emitted from burning household items. The smoke is actually a little bit darker in home fires. Installing a Home Security System

Posted in Spy Gear Wholesale on July 27th, 2010 by Spy Gear Wholesale

Installing a Home Security System – Andy Bell takes us to a home where a home security system or a monitoring system is being installed and the various aspects it has. The master control panel is located in the basement of the home and the customer has nothing to do with that; it has a backup battery pack incase the power goes out then the home is still protected. There is a motion detector installed, CO2 meter, heat pad to detect numerous problems like carbon minoxide and a main key pad that the consumer uses. It’s better to have this a year early rather then a day late.
